About

I could have written a good book about the nine years to date that I have battled Mesothelioma, but I thought maybe a good fiction novel would be a way to bring in funds for a much needed cause. We need funds to find a cure for this cancer that leaves no one standing.

Each of The Dreamweaver's Choice is donated to the Charity of MFMRF, I have taken nothing, paid for all printing and artwork costs myself. I do hope that in time many books will be sold and if possible the charity will keep receiving funds from the sales long after I have gone.

I just need you the public to get behind this book and buy it for young family members. Yes it has vampires, not many nasty ones but enough to give the book a story of good vs bad. There's a Newfoundland Dog, a paranormal police woman, a ghost and a couple of really good looking guys. What is there not to like?

It isn't a horror with lots of killing but a good story where good outwits evil, a good read along the way with some interesting twists.

Please get behind us and support the charity, at the same time you may even enjoy the read.

Chapter Three

“But child, you could return and be reborn and have a chance at living a full human life, this time staying till your full term” Superior Catherine smiled at her.

“I am grateful for the opportunity to return and have a human life, indeed earth has changed since I was last a person” Amelia answered “But I do not wish to become a new human”

“My child you would not know you were a new human once you are there” Superior Margaret exclaimed.

“I realise I would have no memory of this world or the world I once knew” Amelia lifted her head and looked at the Superior who had spoken “But the world I have now is the world I wish to remain in”

“My child that is no longer an option” Superior Catherine informed her, sincerely wishing it was different.

“I want to be with Hugh, Superior Catherine.  I could not bear not being by his side” Amelia answered looking tearfully at the face of her Superior.

“You will meet again in time when you return to the Earth Plane” Superior Margaret interrupted

“It would not be the same, how would I know that he is my love?” Amelia answered

“My child it is better to return with a clean memory so you may learn and experience new things” Superior Catherine chimed back.

“But why would I wish not to remember the love I hold in my heart?” Amelia asked

“Amelia you have seen so many come and go here.  They re-plan what they would like to achieve on Earth, they always ensure they are together with the spirit love of their hearts” Superior Margaret explained

“Amelia, our spirit needs to grow and that is by experiencing life and loves, this is the way of our world and that of the one you may return to.” Superior Catherine leaned forward and gently cupped Amelia’s head in her hands.

“I cannot ensure that Hugh will be in my life should I return” Amelia replied, a tear building in the corner of her eye.  “And If I do find him, how would I know he knew who I was?”

“My Dear he would know who you are, he is a Vampire and really one so pure as you should not be involved with the Darkside.” Superior Augusta’s stated.

“That is an extremely unfair comment to make” Amelia was shocked, “After everything he has done to help save innocent lives, ensuring the Vampires had respect for human life and wants nothing for himself”

“He has taught you how to track down Vampires” Superior Augusta continued

“Yes, and those Vampires were going to take out innocent lives, is it not our responsibility to care for those on the earth plane?” Her anger was starting to build.

“Enough” Superior Catherine clapped her hands “This is about Amelia’s choice, not what she has or hasn’t done”

“I am sorry, you are correct Catherine, her choice of love is not our discussion” Augusta felt chastised.

The gathering fell silent for a few minutes, it seemed to Amelia that they were conversing between themselves without actually speaking.  A few times she caught one or two of the Superiors looking at her then bowing their heads as if in conversation.  The voices on the breeze sounded like they had become one but still Amelia was unable to hear the words.  She sat still, her hands resting nervously in her lap.

2nd Book

Had a little bit of writers block yesterday, Some 200 pages in, the plot is in place but when do I drop another piece of the puzzle!

Have a few more characters coming in and out of the main story line just to spice it up.  Maybe Abe could get a little jealous - who knows.

I didn't understand when I heard people talking about characters and how they grew with the story, I certainly do now.  I find myself wondering would Lauri like this or Abe that.  Even consider what Bear would want.

Needless to say the plot is good, Evil vs Good and Good has to win but what happens when the stakes are high and who do you trust.

The main characters are struggling with who to trust and now even the baddies are having the same problem.  Cecil is such a cunning person, and what of The Olders?  Will they double cross Inovercy to gain everything he dreamed of.

Not forgetting Chaos, does he hear everything they scheme, The Natural does.

Only my finger tips will know the outcome.

Nice Gesture

Although this blog is for the book I had to share the wonderful comments posted yesterday on an American Website.

“The DreamWeaver’s Choice” is a complex story of the battle of good versus evil where the central characters are vampires and spirits, and a human detective with her beloved K-9, Bear Boy. The story moves from the 1800’s, when vampires roamed the streets of England and viciously took victims, to modern day where vampires still live in England but have divided into factions of “good” vampires who live among humans without harming them, and “bad” vampires who continue to stalk and attack unsuspecting Brits.

The good vampires rely on a sophisticated set of medicines and supplies to help them function normally, but their enemies are working hard to hijack and sabotage their efforts while reaping billions of dollars by extorting the desperate vampires needing the potions to remain part of society. The players in the book have deeply intertwined lives and knowing who to trust becomes a matter of life and death.

“I only hope the book does the charity justice and raises some much needed funds,” says Jan.

Follow us: @_mesothelioma__ on Twitterough this blog is for the book I had a really good comment posted on a website yesterday.

I have spent the last couple of days correcting my spellings and reformatting, one for paperback and one for Kindle.  Not knowing that I had to download the Kindle Version to correct it.  Now I have nothing to compare with as binned the typo errors!

If you find a typo, please let me know so I can fix it.

From Chapter Two

Levi had never really wanted to return to the shores of Britain, having been humiliated when they were exiled for bringing about too much publicity as a result of the number of unexplained deaths in the area. Lavinia, his wife, hated the place which Levi couldn’t understand, she hadn’t been the one banished.   He didn’t know whether it was the stories, which were now folklore or the fact that his picture still remained on many walls in the drinking houses.  He had tried to persuade her that in today’s world people would not know it was him.  How could their imagination match a picture against someone who would be three hundred plus years old, this coupled with the fact that the human race were ignorant to the existence of Vampires.  But he also had uneasy reservations about his own return.

It had been just over a month since their return and Levi could still picture the dereliction of the property.  How Lavinia had complained about the terrible state of the house and did he really expect her and her sister Malinda to stay in the rat infested place.  Not that she minded the odd rat but comfort was important, after all how could they invite back potential food to such a dump.

Levi knew that to find the Vial he would have to do a lot of restoration work, both the east and west wings of the house was under collapse with ceilings falling through from the 1st and 2nd floors.  The roof leaked terribly and he was unsure whether the floors would hold his weight.  Not that a fall would kill him but it could potentially injure his well-preserved body.

From Chapter One

Abe was just about to ask if Amelia had visited, maybe she could help on the final location and identification of the Mark.  Amelia had been missing now for a couple of weeks, this wasn’t usual for her, at most she had not appeared for a day or two and once it had been a week but this was different.  It was nearly three weeks since she last appeared and Abe knew that Hugh was worried, indeed so was Abe.

Hugh could sense the next word on Abe’s lips as they packed their gear and checked the guns, Hugh also liked to carry a medical box which held several syringes and various sleeping potions.  “No” he simply answered, “Amelia hasn’t been over lately”.  They left the inner office, clicking the door shut. Hugh thought back to the last time Amelia had appeared, she told him she had been offered a Transfer, but a Transfer in a different manner to what Hugh and Abe meant.  He hadn’t been able to ask her to explain as the Shadow Watchers had arrived and she had gone. Hugh looked back at the screen and watched the Mark for a few more moments, he knew it may not be him but the thought that was pulling him more and more at this moment was his hunger.  Hugh wasn’t sure whether to disclose this information but if circumstances were different he would want to know.  After all it could affect the safety of the team.

“I feel like I haven’t sated for a week Abe” Hugh cautiously stated, “I need more Nuits”

“When did Vampage start?” Abe asked back, this could cause serious problems in the field.

Prologue

Prologue

1985

The darkness was being intermittently interrupted by the blinking of a malfunctioning streetlight as Carol proceeded home from her first evening as a bartender.  She had been promised a lift home by the landlord but after a full shift of his leering, pawing and unsubtle innuendos she resolved walking home was the safest option.  She knew the area well although she would not normally wander through it after nightfall.
The streetlight blinked again illuminating her watch.  Just after midnight she sighed.  Berating herself for not taking a taxi and bemoaning the fact she now worked for an aging lecherous lothario she quickened her pace to hasten the journey to the sanctuary of her home.   She turned to check behind her and caught the cast of a shadow in the streetlight as it blinked off, her heart froze for an instant making her pulse beat that little faster but as the light blinked back on no one was there.  Her relief was palpable as she walked further through another passage of darkness.

The man had been wandering the streets looking for someone inebriated or alone.  He had just about given up hope of finding something to feed from in this part of the town, debating with himself whether he should risk a busy and more populated area.  He caught the scent of her before her shadow was cast on the paving, she was heading north of his position past the closed offices that had once brought prosperity to the area, now closed with no security guards or camera’s on duty.  He knew she wouldn’t hear him approach her until it was too late.
They had followed the trial for several nights only to lose him among the built up areas of the town.  Their new equipment was still basic only indicating a radius of where he would be, not the exact location, finding that was Amelia’s task. Amelia had joined them a few minutes early bringing them to this street in the hope that her vantage point from the Ether Plane had been correct.   They waited patiently for the moment at which to strike, Amelia checking every few seconds that he was still heading their way.  It was then that she saw the girl walking towards them, was that why he was here, was he stalking the young girl.

Carol checked over her shoulder again, her adrenalin still flowing and her senses heightened, making the hairs on the back of her neck stand up.  She was certain she caught a glimpse of him behind her, straining her ears she wasn’t able to hear any footsteps, she nervously laughed at herself for being so jumpy.
A junction was only a few yards ahead of her, it took an alternate route to her neighbourhood but would add a further five minutes to her journey.  She purposefully marched on as every sound, every perceived movement elicited a response to her already attuned senses.
She hurried to the corner at least on this road the street lights seemed to be fully operable.  As she turned the corner she felt a hand close over her mouth, her eyes widened as the fear took hold.  She could feel the strength in his body as his arms pulled her back into the darkness of the road she had exited. She tried to scream then a sound that she could only describe as Whoosh went past her ear.  The hand suddenly released its hold, she ran not daring to look back.
Hugh returned his weapon to its holster just inside his jacket, Abe collecting the clothes that lay discarded on the ground.

“Amelia we could never have done this without you” Hugh said as he watched the girl run down the road.
“She didn’t know how close that was” Abe said, “another couple of seconds and we would have lost her, leaving the police with another unexplained death”.

“I guess being dead does have some benefits” Amelia laughed as she hugged them both.
